Arizona Heart International Ltd. is proud to present the core of our management team. These professionals offer a variety of skills and vast industry knowledge in addition to extensive healthcare and business experience in Southeast Asia.

As our management team expands to meet demand, we have plans to add key financial and hospital operations personnel to support our strategic growth. In the interim, we have the privilege of consulting directly with Arizona Heart personnel as a resource to provide added depth on a variety of issues.

Dr. Edward B. Diethrich: Chairman and Chief Medical Advisor

Dr. Diethrich is the founder of the Arizona Heart Institute in addition to his positions of Medical Director and Chief of Cardiovascular Surgery at the Arizona Heart Hospital (AHI). In 1971, Dr. Diethrich founded the Arizona Heart Institute, the nation’s first freestanding outpatient clinic dedicated solely to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart and blood vessel disease. An internationally renowned cardiovascular surgeon for more than 40 years, Dr. Diethrich is widely regarded as one of the pioneers of the non-invasive diagnosis of heart disease in addition to an innovator of many modern endovascular treatments.

Edward (Tad) B. Diethrich II: Chief Executive Officer

Tad Diethrich brings more than 18 years of healthcare management and development experience, specifically from his position as Executive Vice President of the Arizona Heart Institute. Mr. Diethrich’s primary responsibilities included the development and implementation of AHI’s strategic plan and international expansion.  In his previous position as Chief Operating Officer, he managed an annual P&L of $60 million. During this time, AHI established and expanded to become the largest cardiovascular practice in Arizona, with over 15 offices and 40 physicians. Additionally, Mr. Diethrich represented AHI in the development of the $43 million Arizona Heart Hospital, and the recently opened $15 million AHI Translational Research Center. Past experience also includes negotiating various successful debt restructuring and project financing transactions. Mr. Diethrich currently resides in Singapore.

Thomas P. Doyle: Board Member

Thomas Doyle brings 14 years of senior management experience in the field international business for a global project development company. Mr. Doyle’s responsibilities included the management of profit and loss with annual revenues in excess of $500 million. Mr. Doyle also has a wealth of experience in mergers and acquisitions, most recently participating in the sale of an asset in China with an enterprise value of $300 million. Additionally, he offers an extensive background managing green-field development teams in several international markets from inception through financial close and into commercial operation.

Ken Howell: Advisor to the Board

Mr. Howell brings 20 years of healthcare management experience including his current position as Regional Vice President–Dallas Region for Hospital Partners of America. Mr. Howell has extensive cardiovascular specialty experience having served as both a Regional Vice President for MedCath (4 hospitals) and as President and CEO of both the Dayton and Arizona Heart Hospitals. In each position, Mr. Howell was successful in implementing programs resulting in significant revenue growth and aggressive expense reduction, leading to year over year bottom line improvement and market growth.
